It’s Cold Out – That’d be Because We’re Closing in on Winter

If I hear another person complain about the temperatures we’ve experienced lately and how terribly cold they are, I’m going to drop a lot of expletives and possibly resort to violence. Two things, it’s not that cold outside and we’re about two weeks away from the official start of winter. See that lake up there? No? That’s because it’s below snow and ice. Know why? Because it’s cold wherever that damn picture was taken. Until you’re slapping chains on your tires, shoes, fingers and #$%@ for traction… guess what? It’s ain’t cold.

Complaining about how cold it is outside when it really isn’t all that chilly in Houston (relative to what other cities are going through) is not just annoying, it makes you seem thin-skinned. Granted, you may actually be thin-skinned, in which case this whole article is bound to offend you.

Forty degrees is in no way cold.

As we speak, I am procrastinating on taking out my trash because I’ll be too cold. p.s. Why did you have to go and put the picture of the pool at the top? Salt + wound.

I’m not sure what is worse. What you just described or transplanted “Houstonians” that complain we have no seasons.

I mean… come ON! Just because we pronounce it hurricane instead of autumn doesn’t mean we don’t have seasons.
