NEWScoop: a Tired Lake, a Ripped Pec, a Down Pour, a Burrow, a Car Apart

Lake Houston Residents are Tired
The folks on Lake Houston figured they had better start removing the waste made visible by the receding waters before it all fills back in. Good thing too. One resident says, “Car batteries, you name it, it was in here. Just like a dumping ground. We’re drinking this water.” Well, we’re not, we limit our liquid intake to pop and castor oil. Safer. Texans Face a New Menace
The Texans have been hobbling with hamstring hinderances since before the season started. This weekend in the game against the Oakland Raiders a new threat manifested itself—the torn pectoral. Mario Williams, undoubtedly a vicious beast on defense was the first to fall prey. May he be the last. Visit ABC13 for more on this story.

It Rained Quite a Lot for an Extended Period of Time
Wow. My award winning azaleas won’t dying this year. Good on ya’ nature. I hope the people that were clearing out trash up in Lake Houston were able to make a significant dent in the clean up before the great spirit cried. It’s hard enough walking around in a lake on a dry day. Visit ABC13 for more on this story.

Burrow Built in the Heights for McGonagall’s Animagus Form
Animals need homes based off of houses seen in films just as much as the next species. Should this be included in the Houston Visitor’s Center pamphlets to rival that thing in Orlando? I read in the Quibbler it was a let down anyway. Come to Houston. Visit MyFoxHouston for more on this story.

A Car Apart
The widow of Navy SEAL, Aaron Vaughn misplaced her husband’s wedding ring while visiting Houston. A facebook page exists in an effort to raise awareness of the missing band. A rental car has been torn apart to reveal nothing. Did she intentionally conceal the ring in the seat lining or  carpet? Ya know, like in every  smuggling movie that’s ever been made? Not likely. Visit MyFoxHouston for more on this story.
