NEWScoop: Leinhart and Winston Get Capped, Stolen Dogs, Gator 3DD, Project X-Houston, and Conservative Art

Winston, Leinart Get Capped in the Ass
Sports are a business, and business is bad for Matt Leinart and Eric Winston. They had to be released by the Houston Texans to make room under the salary cap for the coming season. With Andre Johnson taking a restructured deal, the Texans freed up nearly $12 million, roughly half of The Loop Scoop’s net worth. Visit for more.

Thievery Goes to the Dogs
Take my valuables, my money, my dignity, but leave me my dogs. Burglars stole the family pets from a Meyerland home leaving us to wonder, were there not enough viable options in the local pound? Seriously, pets are meant to be rescued not stolen. Visit MyFoxHouston for more.

Project X Houston: The Real Life Party
What’s the usual deterrent for throwing a wild high school party? The parents, of course. Those people that sign your paychecks. What? You didn’t get paid to be someone’s child? Anyway… some kids found a loophole in the system and skirted the ‘rents by throwing a party in a new home without owners. Genius. Visit KHOU for more.

Gator 3DD: The Movie
The recent weather has been a far cry from the drought conditions we’ve grown to know. The animals think so as well. Houston’s turning into the newest location for Swamp People and we have the gators to prove it. Visit KTRK for more.

Contrary to Popular Belief, Art is Conservative Too
The Menil has been given a grant by the Bank of America Art Conservation Project to restore several sculptures by John Chamberlain. The Menil Collection is one of four domestic projects awarded the grant. This is good news for art lovers everywhere, especially our own Jesse Kantu. Visit YourHoustonNews for more.
