NEWScoop: Liars, Sarlaac, and Hogs a Plenty

Silliano, The Con-o, Not Even a Man-o
A con man, or woman as the case may be, was outed in North Houston as those he/she used grew suspicious of his/her dealings. Upon further investigation, it seems the perpetrator has been linked to many scams in different states. The Visit MyFoxHouston for more on this story.

Police Don’t Fall for No “Pot in the Gas Tank” Trick
Police stopped a speeding car on Monday morning and managed to find quite a lot more. It seems the driver was smuggling his weight in marijuana bricks. Fuzzy math in regards to the vehicle’s registration called for a dog search. Visit ABC13 for more on this story.

SUV Sinks Under Void
Water main breaks have been causing flooding of biblical proportions all over Houston. More recently, however, the collected water when mixed with dry earth has been a breeding ground for Sarlacc. City employees have as yet been unsuccessful in slowing the spread of the species. Visit ABC13 for more.

No Guns. No Bows. No Service.
Feral hogs, like Sarlacc, are rapidly becoming a nuisance in Houston. The hog population, however, can be quelled by conventional gun, sling, knife, or bow and arrow. The neighborhood being affected has a no-hunting policy, leaving the citizens helpless as their yards are repeatedly rooted. Visit ABC13 for more on this story.

HOA, Sus Domesticus Not for the Rest of Us
A family in Spring is being told that Potbelly Pigs are not pets as deemed by the HOA. The USDA calls pigs “non-traditional pets.” Prognostication? The USDA rules will likely trump those of the local folkals. Visit KHOU for more on this story.
