NEWScoop: Occupied, Chartered Space, Rice Ditched, Shots Fired, and Kilimanjaro Klimbed
Occupy Houston. Light’s on. Is Anyone Home?
Someone’s in there. Who are they? What are their reasons? This house has magenta trim with teal green brick. Yin yangs and tea parties. The Left. The Right. It’s a marching cadence leading anywhere but down the middle. You’ve got the 99%. The 1%. And the 53%? Unite the Clans. Visit MyFoxHouston for more on this story.
Houstonians Fly West and Charter Vessels
Who hasn’t had their Uncle Jack come back from sea-faring voyages out West—with tales of Ahi, Great White, Megalodon and Mermaid, that captivate for days. Hold steady. Them stories are about to get even more outlandish. I’m talkin’ galactic charters. Swap out Ahi, Great White, and Mermaid for Borg, Asgard… and whatever E.T. was, Box Face Skinny Neck? UH Big Times Rice
Remember that friend of yours, the one that was always willing to hit the car wash clubs. That friend that listened to your problems when everyone else ignored you. That same friend that’d make 3AM fried chicken runs. The two of you, fighting over the bucket once safely home—laughing and fooling about. Hang on to your memories, kid. Boys With Toys
BB guns with gas cartridges? Shooting at people that are in no way affiliated with the Evil Empire? Injuring hard-working Americans as they walk down the street? Damaging the property of small businesses? These young people are misinformed. Visit MyFoxHouston for more on this story.
Klimbing Kilimanjaro to Kick Kancer, Can We Quad-K It?
We’re not all “ha ha” here. Sometimes we’re able to put aside the crazy and find the hope that lies buried in Houston’s news. The strange just makes for a humorous read and an outlet for obscure cultural references. I think it’s necessary for the good things associated with our town, to find their way into this column as they happen. If for no other reason, to remind us that it ain’t all bad.
