Photo of the Week: Hope is a Waltz Through the Funhouse

This week, unlike the last, takes place at night. Mixiomedia caught this image of the sculpture in Hermann Park titled, Cancer, There is Hope. A Victor Salmones was responsible for its creation back in 1990. The way this image presents the sculpture, hope during cancer is not what I’d have read from it. What’s it look like to you?

The Jones lead this midnight Chinese fire drill, having just left the symbolic funhouse leg of the course. One more lap and they’re back in the Pontiac. Meanwhile, the Martins stumble as the odd trapezoids disrupt their depth perception. “Can’t get in. The schnozberries taste like schnozberries.” Anxiety has pulled a fast one on them.

If my recollection is correct, this is Mixiomedia’s first time on the POTW. Nicely done, sir. I look forward to seeing more images, if you’re willing.
