The Look Ahead: Backtones, Rum Drinks and Fire Damage
We’re dissolving two of our favorite columns, Your Regular Scoop of Houston and Procrastinator’s Plan, and giving them a new look this year. Gone is the single serving of events in Houston. Here is five-times-a-week battery of things to do. We will publish a few events every morning. If we’ve missed something let us know with an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet at us @TheLoopScoop.
Southern Backtones Live Session at Sugarhill Studios
We don’t even know if this is open to the public, but if it is, you should be there. Southern Backtones will be performing songs from their new album, La Vie En Rose, live in the recording studios of SugarHill. If we didn’t have to be at our real jobs, we just might crash the party.
Grand Re-Opening of Agora Cafe
We mourned the loss of Agora like a schoolgirl getting her heart broken for the first time. We can’t wait for one of our favorite cafes to re-open on Wednesday. Head on down to the spot near the corner of Dunlavy and Westheimer. We hear that the Eatsie Boys food truck is going to be on location too (*fingers crossed*).
Brugal Rum and Food Pairing at Fox Hollow
They say that Brugal Rum is the #1 rum of the Caribbean. Then again, I lived on St. Croix for a year and never saw a bottle. That just means it will be new for me and we all know that new things take precedence over the old and busted. Have some fun with specialty cocktails and delicious dishes at Fox Hollow.
