The Look Ahead: Canned Acoustic #3, Finnegan and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.

I know that it’s Wednesday, but you need some forewarning about Thursday. The music fans out there are going to have a tough choice ahead of them. Three fantastic shows are set for May 26th. All of them feature a Houston band in some capacity (though one does have an edge in the local music department).

Featuring a hefty line-up of some of Houston’s favorite musical artists, Canned Acoustica will slide through its third iteration this week. Come to see the stripped down performances and to support a worthy cause. Plus, Fat Tony performing with Two Star Symphony. When else is that going to happen?

We covered their adjunct band, The Literary Greats, a few weeks ago. Now it’s time to pull on a different concert tee for Finnegan’s show at Continental Club on Thursday night. That is if you don’t decide to go to Canned Acoustica instead… What’s a Houston music fan to do?

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. w/ Generationals and Young Girls at Fitzgerald’s

Where: The Heights [2706 White Oak Dr., 77007]
When: Thursday, May 26th | Doors at 8PM
How Much: $10 in Advance | $12 Day of Show
Scoop’d From: Paul

Just in case your Thursday plans weren’t tough enough, we’re going to add one more possible concert to the mix. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. hasn’t even released a full-length album yet, but their buzz is out of control. In fact, they got signed on for the Austin City Limits schedule based on the strength of two EPs. By the way, Young Girls are a Houston band. Mmmm, some local flavor.
