The Look Ahead: DJ Sun, Star Wars™, and Houston Public Library

Rather than have fun at Monday’s expense like all other weeks’ beginnings, lets welcome him with open arms. Sad about Team USA’s loss to Japan? Burry your head in your work or in these events we’ve wrangled in. Either way, USA’s loss is your win?

Scoop’d from: Paul

It’s DJ Sun at The Flat. It’s going to be good. For as much as Paul used to frequent the place—we’re talking as much as Agora—I’m surprised we’ve not covered it. In any case, we will. But until that times arrives, would you go experience DJ Sun tonight and make a contribution to this here website with a retelling? What if one of these shirts were to magically appear in your mail box?

The only thing better than Star Wars is entertaining the possibility that some aspects of that universe might one day exist in our reality. For instance, I’m holding out for Mandelorian armor for my weekend boar hunting trips. Look for props, costumes and other exhibits all in the air conditioned rooms of the Houston Health Museum. Hell, go to the Dark Side and ditch work for this one, it’ll be worth missing those weekend crowds.

Summer Family Movie Time with the Houston Public Library

Where: The Houston Public LibraryThe Moody Neighborhood Library [9525 Irvington, 77076]
When: Monday, July 18th | 4:00PM to 6:00PM
How much: Free, aren’t Public Libraries great?
Scoop’d from: Stephan

Take the whole family to watch a “G” to “PG” rated film at the Moody Branch of the Houston Public Library. It’s free and it’s inside—that’s “G”ood news (yeah, I brought the cheese, you bringin’ the whine).
