The Look Ahead: Eat More Heat, Craig Kinsey, Oktoberfest and The Trial of Aeon
WEEKEND!!! You’re HEEEEERE!
Well, that’s a relief. Good thing I’ve saved up all this energy by not working. I’ll have plenty in the tank to tackle you, weekend. You’re going to be my b-word. Kiss my a-word, work. You mean nothing to me.
EatMoreHeat.com Featured on History Channel’s “Hairy Bikers“
The hottest chile in the world is the Trinidad Scorpion ‘Butch T.’ On October 21st at 9:00PM, the History Channel show ‘Hairy Bikers’ will be the first national program to feature this Guinness record setting pepper, with the help of James Wreck from EatMoreHeat.com.
Be at the District Lounge on Washington Ave from 8PM-10PM for the official viewing party. Support your local, insane, chili connoisseur. It’s the right thing to do.

FPH Oktoberfest Jubilee at Fitzgerald’s
We might have missed this, but then we got this fantastic email from The Small Sounds:
“The Small Sounds miss you. It’s our fault – we’ve been sequestered deep in the bowels of Beebe Gunn Studios laying down track after track of audio gold. But we’re sticking our collective head out long enough to play a show this Saturday. Come down to Fitzgerald’s at 3pm for Free Press Houston Oktoberfest for an entire afternoon of good music, cold beer and fine food truck fare. We are the first band of the afternoon, so don’t be late. And the icing on this already-delicious Fall cake is IT’S A FREE SHOW (for ages 21 and up – only $5 under 21).”
Where: Fitzgerald’s – The Heights [2706 White Oak Dr., 77007]
When: Saturday, October 22nd | 2:00PM and through the night
How much: Free!!!!
Scoop’d from: Email — Check out the each band’s set times
“Mills-McCoin’s life began with a clerical error. Matt Storey’s life began with a grunt from a German wet nurse. Justin Vandenbout’s life began when he was sold into “newborn baby modeling” slavery. And thirty years later… very little has changed.
So in honor of their own 30th birthdays, these self-indulgent bastards, with the help of Liberty Station, have decided to throw an all day and night long foolhardy, indoor/outdoor celebration on Saturday, October 22, 2011; FREE to all mankind.
Billed as “Trial of the Aeon: The People VS Space Capone, et al.”, this event fields a band lineup superior to that of Glastonbury. The beautiful soundscapes of Space Capone, Poor Pilate, Khruang Bin, Lucas Gorham and The Finnegan Family Band will likely cure male pattern baldness and lingering virginity.”
