The Look Ahead: Fat Tony at Fitz, FIND Art at War’Hous, MOE 131 at War’Hous and Extremely Shorts
It’s a Thursday. And as it is with every Thursday, it feels like Friday. Don’t jump the gun. You still have an entire day to devote to you work before you get to have some fun in the sun. Today we bring you a big heap of culture that be going down this weekend. Enjoy.
Originally, the show tonight was supposed to feature Ninjasonik, but they canceled. The show shall go on with a stage filled by Houston hip hop impresarios Fat Tony and B L A C K I E as well as iPod aMmo mixing it up and Muhammadali rocking out. It should be as fun a show as when the Brooklyn rap duo was scheduled… Plus, it’s a free show. I mean, come on. How can you say “no”?

FIND Magazine is on the hunt for new artists. They’re now on tour with the next stop scheduled for tomorrow in Houston at the War’Hous Visual Studios. Described thusly, “The FIND Art Magazine crew, led by publisher Neight Adamson, will tour the country to strategically chosen destinations in a big rig truck customized to function as a mobile art gallery and kinetic sculpture, essentially transforming the vehicle into a permanent artifact.”
Unfortunately, we haven’t captured any photos of MOE 131’s work around town, but that’s where the video above comes into play. War’Hous will be hosting a night of his street art on Saturday being promoted by ENB Magazine. Here’s what they have to say: “Do not miss this Show! Mario jimenez’s first ever solo show curated By Lydia Benavidez w/ ENB magazine and Jose Ramirez w/ LabwerksMedia. Moe’s dark and Colorful World will take you on a journey inside the Imagination of an Artist. This night will be epic. Dj FxBox spinning music you ain’t never heard of and the Art will haunt your dreams.”
