The Look Ahead: Get Outside, Big Show, and The Blow

It’s Thursday as you’ve probably figured out by now. If not, you probably either don’t work at a job where time is relevant or you just woke up from a cryogenic freeze. Both are understandable. Throw your lines to this deck of a weekend and pull yourselves in.

A Slight Drop in Temperature Suggests We Get Outside

Where: Everywhere! If these don’t apply—Google Map the most scenic trail that’s closest to you. [Memorial Park - Hermann Park and/or Rice University Trail - Paul Carr Jogging Trail - Buffalo Bayou Trail]
When: Thursday, July 7th | After work when the sun is setting.
How much: Free if you walk, run, or ride to your destination.
Scoop’d from: Richard

The rain yesterday dropped the temps slightly. Take advantage and get outdoors. Did we miss a park or a trail above? Inform us in the comments. We’re always on the lookout for more nature amidst the concrete jungle.

Activity ain’t your thing? Check out the Watering Holes and Restaurants we’ve experienced and see which might serve as a relaxing evening hangout.

My how the year has flown by, it’s time again for the Big Show at Lawndale Art Center. You’ll be looking at 121 works of art by 73 artists from within a 100 mile radius of this great city. Get there at 12:00 PM on Saturday so you’ve got as much time as possible to take em’ all in.

Richard caught wind of the Blow (pun intended?) back in ‘07, when there “Parentheses’” had crossed paths with his Pandora. Ever since he’s been hooked. Give it a listen, see what all of the fuss is about.

Hey, Love Inks is a very cool band too. Not overhyped Austin crap.
