The Look Ahead: Greek Festivities, FPH Discount Tickets, Child Advocates, and an InstaMeet
Today’s batch of events, isn’t so much concerned with the near future. Instead, we’re focusing on things important enough, that you might think of marking ‘em down a little early. Force the procrastinator right outta ya—the Power of Christ compels you.

It isn’t enough that the Greek’s dominate the late night food scene with Biba’s. It’s not enough that they’ve cornered the coffee market with Byzantio and Agora. Not to mention every four years we have to pay them homage at the Olympics, and even worse, every November we have to thank them for democracy… No, we also celebrate Greek food, drink, dance and music every year in Houston. Sheesh. All kidding aside. The Greek Festival held at the Greek Orthodox church in Montrose is an event that Houstonians look forward to every year. Food, dance, wares, you can find it all while walking around slugging back a bottle of Greek wine.

“Hi IGers! Let’s show the IG Community what a beautiful city Houston can be! Meet up with Houston IGers at Market Square Park in Downtown Houston. We’ll take some shots at the park and around Dowtown, then hop on the light rail and head to a few stops along the route. We’ll then head into Midtown at the Big Block (Ensemble Stop) for a few more shots of Continental Club, Sig’s, and of course Tacos-a-go-go! We’ll end up in the Museum District where we’ll stop at the Museum District Stop on Fannin. There are lots of pretty lit up churches on Main near there, and of course the MFA and the Mecomm fountain.” — Monica
