The Look Ahead: Mercury Baroque, Blues & Burgers, The Woggles, The Ugly Beats and The Knux
Oh, we’re so music-centric lately. Are you surprised that each one of the below items are directives to more live tunes? You better not be. Maybe tomorrow we’ll focus on some other culture hot-spots.
Mercury Baroque presents Chamber Music of the Baroque

“Join Mercury Baroque for a special afternoon of intimate chamber music from the Baroque including music by famed composers such as Bach, Biber, Corelli and Telemann. Featuring founding violinist Jonathan Godfrey and Mercury’s Artistic Director Antoine Plante on Viola da Gamba, this is one performance you won’t want to miss. From vivacious and virtuosic Spanish-inspired dances to the harmonic genius of Bach the music is sure to delight.”
Blues and Burgers at Discovery Green
“Bite into a juicy burger with a side of Houston’s best in blues at these lunchtime concerts. Every Spring and Fall season, Discovery Green offers a Wednesday outdoor lunchtime concert offering Houston’s best in blues music.”
On Wednesday, your lunchtime snack will be accompanied by The DelGrosso / Del Toro Richardson Band. Enjoy the tune that we found above.
The Woggles w/ The Ugly Beats + Jade Idol at Continental Club
Another one of the concerts we just told you about the other day, we’re definitely going to be catching this one. You should do if you have any respect for the 60s garage rock sound. Between The Woggles and The Ugly Beats you’re going to get your fill of hollow, balls-out rock and roll.
The Knux w/ Jordy Towers at Fitzgerald’s
We’re all adults here, so I opted to put up the uncensored version of the song up above instead of the censored “official” video. But, if you must, you can find that kid-friendly version here. Seriously, I have nothing else to say. Listen to the song. Buy your tickets. Don’t be disappointed.
