The Look Ahead: Panic! at the Disco, fun., Funeral Party, Verticality Grand Opening and Sustainable Living Fest 2011
Wednesday is here. Let’s get to it. We’ve got a concert tonight, pole dancing/fitness on Friday and a Sustainable Living Festival on Saturday. That’s called event diversity, my friends.
I guess the exclamation point is back in the name of Panic! at the Disco after they abandoned it on their second album. The band is back in Houston after abandoning it not so long ago after the Big Dance Concert Series. They bring with them the sugary pop group fun. with the former The Format lead singer at the helm and Funeral Party an LA group with punk tendencies. It should be a good show tonight.

Verticality Pole Fitness Grand Opening Party
If there was one thing we needed more of on The Loop Scoop it’s pole dancing I mean, fitness. It seems to be all the rage these days. One of the newer and surprisingly resilient workout methods has been pole fitness. Verticality will be celebrating it’s grand opening to the Houston public this Friday night with demonstrations of what they have to offer as well as opportunities to win prizes such as free classes.
Full of speakers, live music (The Wheel Workers and Sideshow Tramps, two of our favorites!) and other exhibits, Sustainable Living Fest 2011 sounds boring on the outside, but should be titillating for everyone. Plus, check out all these giveaways. Some of us might be looking for a little relief from last weekend’s Houston Beer Fest. Perhaps a festival with focus that can actually benefit all of us? That sounds like the ticket and Sustainable Living Fest 2011 is here to punch it.
