The City of Houston is holding a public hearing tomorrow on off-street parking regulations. Among other changes, these new regulations would increase parking requirements for restaurants to 10 per 1,000 sq ft (a 20% increase) and 14 per 1,000 sq ft (a 40% increase) for bars. This would cripple smaller, independent restaurants attempting to open in the future, requiring far more revenue to be spent on parking rather than quality …ingredients, charitable events, and other initiatives that have an immediate impact on our local community. – Bobby Heugel
