The Look Ahead: Pork belly Tacos, Fitness at Discovery Green, Beethoven at Rice, and Beer on Saturday
I don’t know about you, but this week’s been all right. Let me rephrase, it’s all right in the micro sense. Macro—you’ve got the protests, the passing of Steve Jobs, more wild fires in Bastrop, unemployment on the rise again, and the list goes on. If it weren’t for the Monkeysphere, we’d go mad. So, carry on.
Where: Washington Corridor – Liberty Station [2101 Washington Ave., 77007]
When: Thursday, October 6th | 6:00PM to 11:00PM
How much: That’s relative to what you consume. Cheap though, most likely.

“We got SPAM sliders, pork belly tacos, fried fish tacos, crawfish pies, and conquistador grilld cheese… today’s a good day indeed!” If that doesn’t get your brain focused on finding a way to Liberty Station tonight, then your mind must have a deep hatred for your stomach. Get the two to the conference table and work it out.
POWERADE ZERO™ Excuses Boot Camp at Discovery Green
All right, so maybe your brain doesn’t have hard feelings towards your stomach. Perhaps it’s just looking out for it. In that case, hit Discovery Green. Get that grueling workout in. Hit Liberty Station afterward. Infallible logic.
The Old City String Quartet will be playing the music of Mozart, Bartók, and Beethoven. I don’t have which pieces they’ll be playing specifically, so the video above, will more or less be indicative of the overall theme. Enjoy!
This is just one more reason for you to head outside the Loop. Worth the drive? Hell, help us get Richard out of his year long funk—he’s been a brooding mess ever since Lost went off the air. Now, personally, I’m a fan of the Pine Belt Pale Ale. Stephan’s a fan of the Buried Hatchet. Paul likes the Bombshell Blonde. To each his/her own. Take the tour and get to know the good tastes coming out of the not so distant North.
