The Look Ahead: Recent Give Up, Rockabilly’s Queen and Tuscapalooza (a Benefit)

Is it Wednesday or Thursday? Honestly, I can never tell which one until I wake up in the morning to find whatever deadline has already passed. Today it was Where’s Pauldo that reminded me of my orientation in time and space. Then again, I sent off the image for WP yesterday as I was already a day ahead. Time to go back to the future…

Get everything you ever wanted (well, at least the new work) by GIVE UP this Saturday at the Shoot Edit Sleep studio. You don’t have to push anything else aside that night, it’s during the day (for one day only) which makes it the perfect post-lunch spot for any street art lovers out there.

The Queen of Rockabilly will be on hand on Saturday night at Fitzgerald’s. We have a preview of the show that will run tomorrow, so stay tuned until then. Apparently one of our Out-of-the-Loopsters is quite a big fan of Holly Golightly.


Tuscapalooza: A Benefit at Firkin & Phoenix for Tornado-ravaged Tuscaloosa, AL

“Parking Lot Party with proceeds going to UA Acts of Kindness Fund. The event will directly benefit the tornado-devastated city of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, home of the Crimson Tide. Sunday Funday – $20 all-you-can-eat crawfish boil. Firkin will donate 100% of crawfish sales & 25% of all other sales (beer, liquor, wine and food) for the cause.” And of course there will be music.
