The Look Ahead: StrEATS Pop-Up, BCBG Bingo and Social Media Shin-Dig

We’re dissolving two of our favorite columns, Your Regular Scoop of Houston and Procrastinator’s Plan, and giving them a new look this year. Gone is the single serving of events in Houston. Here is a five-times-a-week battery of things to do. We will publish a few events every morning. If we’ve missed something let us know with an email to contact@theloopscoop.com or tweet at us @TheLoopScoop.

H-town StrEATS Pop-Up Chef at Beaver’s Ice House

Where: Washington / Memorial [2310 Decatur St.]
When: Monday, February 7th from 9PM to 1AM
How much: Free for those that loiter. Street food is cheap. Want a Beaver’s cocktail? Expect to spend some money.
Scoop’d from: H-Town StrEATS Facebook

Different up and coming Houston chefs will be featured for one night in the H-Town StrEATS food mobile. They’ll be bringing they’re own style and imagination to the street food scene as they prepare whatever their food heart desires. Who’s up first? Chef Jason Gould – a 15 year veteran at places such as Aries, Gravitas, Cyclone Anaya’s and (almost) Stella Sola.

BCBG Bingo at Houston Pavilions

Where: Downtown [1201 Fannin St., 77002]
When: Wednesday, February 9th at 5:30PM
How much: Free
Scoop’d from: DowntownHouston.org

Ladies, I might be going out on a limb here, but I think this one is for you. Cocktails, light bites, prizes and a grand prize of a BCBGMAXAZRIA shoulder bag? Incredible! The numbers will start being called at 6:30PM, so don’t be late. First one to make the “AFTER!” joke when “B4″ is called gets a free pat on the back from me.

Social Media Shin-Dig at Distillery Twenty 5 Twenty

Where: Heights [2520 Houston Ave., 77009]
When: Wednesday, February 9th at 7PM
How much: Free with Twitter Account
Scoop’d from: @ShearCreativity

The stars of Twitter will surely be out for the Black Sheep Agency’s Social Media Shin-Dig this Wednesday. If you are a liberal user of hashtags and @ signs, you’re more than welcome to join the crew. Bring your wittiest 140-character quips to real life and meet some of the movers and shakers in Houston.
