The Look Ahead: Tornados, Aeros, Eradicators, Fashionistas and Art Students
Your week is more than half way to the finish line. I bet that eases your mind just a little bit. Sure there are two more days of torturous work to be done. Just push that out of your mind. You’re going to want to see what we have to say on what to do with your nights and the upcoming weekend.
The Texas Tornados at Discovery Green
“We hope to see all of our Houston friends tomorrow night (This Thursday) at Discovery Green. It’s a free show and starts at 6:30pm.” — What they said…
Opening Night: Chicago Wolves vs. Houston Aeros
Hockey is upon us. Do you like your sports chilled? With the Rockets and the rest of the NBA on the verge of losing the entire season, it’s time to allign yourself with another sport. The Houston Aeros are your ticket. Be there on opening night, Sunday, October 9th. They’re coming off a Calder Cup appearance and looking to make another run at the trophy this year.
“Internationally recognized artist Mark Dion is creating the Buffalo Bayou Invasive Plant Eradication Unit to serve as a workstation, laboratory, book mobile and beacon for public outreach in the battle against invasive plant species along the Buffalo Bayou and its tributaries. The customized truck, similar to “a rugged emergency response vehicle” will be equipped with various tools, illustrations, field guides and books. These items will all be used to encourage participation, educate on the local environment, and establish a sense of urgency to the issue of invasive plants.”

Postcards from Houston — Class Registration Now Open
Richard took the classes at the tail end of summer. You should read up on his three-part experience (#1, #2 and #3). Not only was it fun, but it was informative and beneficial to his artistic development. You’ll say the same once you give yourself over to the PFH crew.
