The Look Ahead: Trampled by Turtles, Tweetdrive, Honky Tonk Blood Brothers, Swampies and Via Colori Photo Contest
Tuesday, where have you been all my life? I’m glad you’re here because I’ve got a lot of living to do this week. Bring it on.
Bluegrass. Folk. Blistering tempo. What’s your pick? Just head up to Fitzgerald’s on Wednesday night and you can answer the question for yourself. The turtles are harmless mostly. Don’t worry that you’ll be caught under foot, but you will be ushered into an upbeat mood pretty quickly. Just check out this video for “Wait So Long.”
Houston Tweet Drive 2011, Benefiting Houston Interfaith Ministries

When: Thursday, December 15th | 7:00PM
How much: Bring a NEW toy or book that will bring joy to a child-in-need’s holiday season. And they’ll give you FREE food and libations. REGISTER HERE.
Scoop’d from: @imelda
Oh My! Pocket Pies, Eatsie Boys and Good Dog Hot Dogs will be serving up their specialty foods. St. Arnold Brewing Company, Beaver’s and My TX Spirits will be bringin’ the drink. Look for entertainment by Extra Life Houston. This seems like more a win for those taking part than those benefiting from the attendees’ generosity. I guess that’s win/win. Follow @HouTweetDrive for up the to minute info.
Heights Live! feat. Honky Tonk Blood Brothers
Heights Live! won’t get off our radar this month especially with Friday night’s show of Johnny Falstaff, Hank Schyma and John Evans being featured. If you haven’t seen the stupendous B-movie that this trio concocted with a handful more of Houston musicians, at least check out their show.
Vote for the Swampies!
That’s right. Have your say about Houston architecture and real estate and whatnot.
