The Look Ahead: Troubadour Tuesday, Intergalactic Nemesis and Rudyard’s Lucky 13 Show
It’s time to jump into our Tuesday. I don’t know about you, but I’m already amped up for my afternoon nap. That’s far too long away to be excited about, especially since it’s just a nap. Good thing there are some events tonight and later this week that are a little bit more exciting.
Troubadour Tuesday at House of Blues (Presented by Lonestar Jukebox)
Folk Family Revival and Frank Freeman are listed as the acts for tonight. Troubadour Tuesday is the first Tuesday of every month and it’s a wonder that we’ve missed promoting it before now. The last time we caught up with FFR was at Houston’s SXSW party, and we’re itching for another go-around. We would link to Lone Star Jukebox on 90.1 KPFT (Saturdays from 9:00AM to Noon), but their website doesn’t work.

Your guess is as good as mine. How the Society of the Performing Arts will pull off a “live graphic novel” is a mystery. But if the following trailer is any indication…
Oh, so it’s a comic book reading complemented by a piano with the pages projected on the screen. Sounds pretty gnarly to me.
Rudyard’s “Lucky 13″ Show feat. August 83, Staci’s Edge and Luxurata
Friday the 13th. Never has such an aura followed a date (that happens much too regularly for it to be mysterious, right?). Well, if you need to find a way to avoid the vamps, weres, zombs, mums and whatever other scary species I can reduce into one-syllable ridiculousness, then the show at Rudyard’s featuring three Houston bands (August 83, Staci’s Edge and Luxurata) is your ticket.
