What’d We Miss: 7.24.11 Weekly Reader

Loopsters, we hope your weekend treated you well. For our part, we took advantage of some gorgeous weather by getting outside and having some fun in the (hot, hot) sun. We had to be ready to gear up for this week. There’s a lot going on. But before we get into that, let’s take a look at last week.

Staff Notes and Photos: Sorghum Beer? by Paul
Does anybody out there with Celiac Disease want to stand up and defend this Redbridge beer made with fermented sorghum? No? Ok.

Hubcap Grill and Beer Garden: Soft Opening, Course Customer
Stephan got some photos from behind the still closed doors of the new Hubcap Grill and Beer Garden. Don’t fret, the opening is today (TODAY!!!!). The rest of us filled in some of the blanks of what to expect. Get ready for 4:00PM. It’s going to be a burger-beer-stravaganza.

Street Art of the Week: From Briks with Love
Photo by the artist himself, check out this Briks sticker finding a home at an undisclosed location.

Where’s Pauldo (ep. 73)
Apparently, this one was “easy.” We’re ok with that. Just don’t let it happen again. Bonus: The artist stopped by to applaud her work. Not really, but she did comment on the publication.

Photo of the Week: Sleeping Royalty
Lion and lioness are found sleeping side-by-side at the Houston Zoo in last week’s photo contributed by Bryan Dawson. Take a look for yourself.
