Your Regular Scoop of Houston 08.10.09

The Regular Scoop, roots extended, Houston’s lush landscape providing all the nourishment needed (inspite of this heat).

This week or the next: Thrill of the Grill,Texas – Wine, Food & Live Music, Sally Stubbs at the Circle S Vineyards, Soul Rebels Brass Band, Froberg’s Family Farm, University of Houston Football Fan Appreciation, Yoga In The Park, Buxton at the Houston Indie House, Jesse Dayton at the Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe, Terra Cotta Warriors and Pan’s Labyrinth a Midnight Showing

It would seem that in this instantly-updating-randomly-informing-internet age, that figuring out what to do in Houston, would be simple. Sadly, it’s not, believe us, as we’ve perused, glanced, sniffed and combed the thousands of  things to experience in our great city, we’re overwhelmed almost to the point of not choosing any at all. So in an effort to keep our overly excited brains sane and our hunger for Houston satiated, here’s a handful or Scoop of things we found interesting. We left many things out, but seeing as how we are a two man show at this point, bear with us. If you have something to add, make a case for it in a comment or become a contributor.

I don’t think Bret Michaels is going to be at the Meridian tonight. It’s the band that plays behind him in his solo act. They’re their own band called “Evick”.
